Disney Day One

I should have known, I should have been better prepared.
But I wasn't...
If you can't tell from the picture, people are literally running to get into the park!

Insanity!

Park gates closed at 11:00am this day, gates close at between 85,000-90,000 people and normal occupancy is considered 40,000.

Insanity!!!
we were quite terrified by all the crowds and for a child with a huge fear of large characters this is a true overcoming of fears!
Then.. out of no where we spotted pluto!
Way too scared to talk to him hence the photobombing begins!

Then we got in line for meet and greet with the princesses!

A little timid at first, then... add some minnie ears and Voila!

Sooo pumped afterwards!!

Then we headed to Dumbo's new ride in fantasyland!
Baby brother was not sure what to think of all these flying elephants!

He ended up loving it!!

We stopped for a quick photo op.

Baby girl with Uncle Cody.
This was his last week working at disney.
Just now realized we have a mouth full of popcorn!
This is outside of gastons tavern.
we enjoyed popcorn while everyone else had hot chocolate!
We finished up the night with the closing show!

Be back with Day 2!

Purifying- A New Years Resolution- The Follow Up

This year has been all about simplifying.

To date we have donated nearly 20 boxes of items to the Goodwill, a local mens rehad called the Warrior Center, and various children's clothing donations.

It feels good to finally be seeing complete and total organization flowing through all sections of my life.

The most sinful "collections" I had was an abundance of beauty supplies. Its unreal!

I am thanful most of these items are still good to use and I have given them to tons of friends and family  or the bad stuff I got rid of.

Feels good people, feels good.

The one Pin I saw on Pinterest that inspired this the most was attic orgainzation.
All of christmas is in red boxes, everything else is clear with a contact sleeve filled with a fun fonted description of its contents!
The one thing a friend shared me is to do a color for each child so Big sis has purple transparent boxes and baby brother has bright blue transparent boxes.
Very easy to identify what box an additional item needs to be added to.

This has aided in the closet cleaning out and adding to our keepsakes pile, which might I add I am sadly not a sentimental person so I only keep my very very most favorite of what we own.

I have kept about 3 boxes either in our attic or on our screeded in porch to aid and ease the cleaning out process.
Obviously mine is more purposeful and not quite this pretty, ie broken box to throw away once done sorting. haha

Be back to show you pictures of how mine turned out!

Merry Christmas From Our Home to Yours

Just wanted to stop in and show yall some of our christmas decorations.

A few things moved around this year but not much.

This was our tree last year.

Big Sister was shocked when I told her we were leaving after going to Grammy and Poppy's and headed straight to Disney World!

Disney Posts up next!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we followed our usual tradition of waking up and going to my parents best friends for breakfast.

You see, I am not very handy with my Nikon camera and I have been without one since the first week of November!! TEAR!!

Anywho, while at the Hall's one of their sons, a videographer by profession, looked at my camera... and tada... I am a total dummy and he fixed it!!!

Yahoo!!
Back to more posts and pictures on the ole' blog!!!

We went home to wrap a few final things, rest and get ready for the Eve service at church.
It was quite an event, we ended up being late, then both my children acted like hoodlums.

On a whim we stopped in Wendy's and grabbed some nuggets to "hold them over til dinner" it was as if we had fast food central in the candlelit service.

Needless to say, we spent most of the time in the lobby waiting on the service to end.
We will try again next year. haha

Afterwards we headed to my parents for traditional dinner with all the fixins.

Since I was sans camera I was unable to share our christmas decor.
Mom's front door was my absolute favorite this year!!

Even Mom's bunny was outfitted for the occassion!

Yearly pictures in the "sleigh"
Was able to snap a quick one with Aunt Ainslie!

I was so busy running my mouth I forgot to go and take a few quick pictures of the table. oops, so here it is with a few of our plates....

And my favorite decor in moms new kitchen. the Boxwood joy wreaths! I want these!!!

I am getting caught up here! Bear with me as I catch up the end of 2012!

11 months old

This month was all about distraction.

We became extremely independant, and decided we hated our socks!
We switched to a totally solids diet and filled in the gaps 3-4 times a day with a 5-6 oz bottle.

Still in a size 3 diaper.
He jumped from the 15% percentile for weight to the 50% and height is still at or above 95%

We added a few more words to our repotoire.
mama (been saying this)
dada (been saying this)
uuu aka Luke the beagle
bye
thank you
dat, when he points to something he wants
choo, for his thomas trains

I cant think of the others.

He also started waving to everyone and blowing kisses.

He is still exploring and testing his limits with climbing.

And I might add... this child NEVER stops!!!

All go... all the time!!

Creative Wrapping!!

I have had several people ask for me to explain how to wrap in cellophane!

So without further adieu!!

Hope everyone is getting in the Christmas Spirit.
I have taken a few days break to enjoy my babies and pray for the families who have lost so much.
I think what hurts the most is knowing people around me, and possibly parents of these sweet children may not yet have my Jesus in their heart to fully appreciate the birth of the Risen King.

Please don't miss an opportunity to share Christ this season.

My mom has the coolest story of handing out a bible track on Black Friday at Kohls!
Made me cry hearing about how fired up for Jesus this man was!!
