Elementary Years "Big Girl Room"

Well... it happened, she said "Mommy, I still like ballerinas, but can we make my room fun and bright?"
I suppose its time. She is a glitter loving, bright colors, leopard wearing kindergartener.

I have had her help me every step of the way with picking out colors and making sure she is going to love what I pull together.

She had a fit over this Annie Selke fabric so this is our launching point!

Thinking this will be our #oneroomchallenge Room for this spring.

PS. we are slowly but surely finishing up the kitchen. It has mainly been because I couldn't make up my mind on several things.
Hope you all are thawing out as we are here!

Well this year, hit up your local crafts fairs, pay 7.00 for a roll... and by thanksgiving I will post a tutorial on using a wire hanger and some zip ties around your house....

For 7.00 you too can have something as beautiful as this on your front door!!

Home Renovation Update.

As we are buying for our sugar lumps christmas and birthday home reno has been put on hold till the new year. of course bargains will be purchased in the mean time so be prepared for those posts. Currently we are working on anna carolines bathroom. It has a wretched 9 tile backsplash of mexican tiles behind her pedestal sink. As of now we have replaced the flooring in her bathroom. it was an AWEFUL grey faux brick vinyl. YUCK. The walls need painting. Beadboard hung. Art painted...(knowing me it will probably be a bunny, a bird, or a bible verse)

Here is a sneak peak of what i am doing. I am not typically a shabby chic type, however our babysitter Candace Danielson just bought some super yummy bedding from a store here in memphis called Bella Vita
