at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, she was quite timid.

we all really enjoyed Epcot.

 we got to meet quite a few characters at Epcot character spot!

singing in the rain umbrella at Hollywood.

I used Jones Design Company's free printable for some cute luggage tags to label our stuff.

had a blast playing in the line waiting for Winnie the Pooh, one of the most innovative lines I have ever been in.

And.... American Girl in Atlanta.

she had no idea what she was about to see, but she knew I was excited!!

she was in hog heaven!!

ready for lunch.

mommy's babies, and hers got all fixed up in the beauty salon!

This is definitely a vacation we will never forget!!

Upholstery- the story of a bench

Here is the story of a small bench with LOTS of potential. 

You remember that major story in April that swept through the southeast??

A lot of bad happened, but some good did come, like some awesome antiques on the curb;

enter exhibit A.

A sweet friend of mine snatched this and a few other items out of someone's "trash" pile. She knew if we  put our minds together we could make this little guy cute in no time flat!!

We had no top, so we used a scrap piece of plywood, drilled 5 holes to make a diamond shape and got to work.

1. covered in multiple layers of batting.

2. stapled the batting down

3. trimmed the excess

4. covered the batting with dr's flannel, aka curtain inner lining... same thing

5. cover buttons in accenting fabric

6. pin and sew the piping in place.

 7. attach main fabric to the cushion

 8. attached the buttons with an upholstery needle and heavy duty twine

 9. we added "L" brackets underneath to attach the cushion to

10. stapled the piping to the bench frame, and screwed on the top.

Disney Recap Part 1

We had an unbelievably incredible time while at Disney.

"belle" thought the princess breakfast was the best.

when she met the "real deal" she was literally in shock. It was the most precious thing in the whole world.

For time to time she shared her sass. Which I am learning to not laugh at and tell her to behave, but i mean... come.... on, she is funny.

She got to ride some big girl rides and Daddy and Aunt Krista were eager to join her!

Our full day at Magic Kingdom ended up being on thursday. We took the ferry over the pond to MK and while we waited Lil Bit got to color with sidewalk chalk.

She rode dumbo, its a small world, winnie the pooh, alladin's magic carpet ride, the carousel, peter pan's flight, and we saw mickey's philharmonic. (this is all once little toddler could take in one day)

My computer isn't acting right so I will be back sharing part 2 of our trip!!

Baby W.- bedding for a friend

A few months back a friend asked if I would make her baby bedding.

Thought I would share with you my mom's recent find.

you see this pretty cedar chest was sitting in my neighbor's front yard.

My mom went to the door and left them a note to call her about the bench. Come to find out it was for sale and they said "make an offer."

How does $30.00 bucks sound??

Gallery Wall

I had every intention of sharing this with y'all while we were out of town...

Well, I had the weirdest thing happen to my memory card... on the back of the card little tiny pieces of plastic float the actual card, they broke off.... so I could take pics but not upload them until I got home to my cord. Weird... I know!

So, back to my procrastination.... we finished this wall... oh... January, then filled all the pics by ohhh March so here is to my MUCH over due showing of the gallery wall up the stairs.

As you can see, at the top of the landing is where our little built in book case is I shared with yall a few weeks back.

The Ballard Outlet

I apologize for my absence. I was unaware our hotel in Atlanta would not have Internet!! Boo!!

Anywho, after attending the American girl store lil bit and I hopped over to the Ballard Outlet.

Unfortunately, my car is already full of goodies we have found for the nursery!!
