Disney Recap Part 1

We had an unbelievably incredible time while at Disney.
"belle" thought the princess breakfast was the best.
when she met the "real deal" she was literally in shock. It was the most precious thing in the whole world.
For time to time she shared her sass. Which I am learning to not laugh at and tell her to behave, but i mean... come.... on, she is funny.
She got to ride some big girl rides and Daddy and Aunt Krista were eager to join her!

Our full day at Magic Kingdom ended up being on thursday. We took the ferry over the pond to MK and while we waited Lil Bit got to color with sidewalk chalk.
She rode dumbo, its a small world, winnie the pooh, alladin's magic carpet ride, the carousel, peter pan's flight, and we saw mickey's philharmonic. (this is all once little toddler could take in one day)

My computer isn't acting right so I will be back sharing part 2 of our trip!!

travel thursday disney fashion files.

We all know by now I LOVE pinterest.

So when I saw there is a disneybound fashion file on tumblr...

well I had to share...

Enjoy... I am busy making sure our activity bag is complete, snacks are packed and the dvd player is hooked up... here is to one heck of a 15 hr. drive with a 2.5 yr old.
{pray for me..}
so for those of you wanting to look like a chic'er version of your favorite disney character... look no further than tumblr's disneybound.

and in all honesty... this whole post is dedicated to the only person who I know could do this and pull the look off with true disney pizazz. {and still look cute while doing so..} Auntie Header, aka Wora, as lil' bit calls her. Or one of my dearest friends in the whole world. Heather.

{thanks for sharing in our overwhelming excitement and helping introduce my sweet little girl to princessdom. we will thank you later when she has a complex. haha}

Travel Thursday on Friday the rest of the trip

Okay sooo super slacker here.
I forgot last week and am a little late this week..

In the words of my two year old... oopies..

Okay so where we left off on the Disney trip.
friday, saturday, and sunday we will visit family and enjoy our time travelling the 16 hr. drive.
1. Monday-Magic Kingdom
2. Tuesday-Typhoon Lagoon
3.Wednesday-park hop whatever we missed
4. Thursday- Sea World

Now on to the rest of the trip...
5. Friday- SHOPPING!!!!
This is my planned day to go to the Orlando Ikea!!

We have quite a list started between things I would like and things friends are wanting me to pick up for them.

There are also some great outlets and malls around Orlando and we are going to try to hit up some of those.
6. Saturday- the day we leave
It will be sad to leave but we will take our time getting out of town, and no... we aren't headed home. we are headed to... Atlanta!!!

7. Sunday- FAMILY PICTURES!!!
okay, okay, I am REALLY excited about this day. I have NEVER had lil bit's 2 yr. portrait done and the city I live in well... there is slim pickin's when it comes to a really talented photographer.

Sure, there are some here but they charge way more than I would care to spend and they don't offer the package I am looking for.

Well by fate I was playing on facebook and stumbled upon a friend of Casey's from college. She lives in the Atlanta area and is EXACTLY what I am wanting.

Did I mention her talent is more than that of the $1000 photographer??
Meet Taryn
she began experimenting with her camera when her sweet baby girl was born and I cannot wait to see her beautiful work!!
I mean... are you kidding?/ this is adoreable!
Super pumped!!

8. Monday- play day!!
On this day I plan on taking lil bit to Buckhead for shopping and running in stores I NEVER get to go to!! i.e. Neimans, Nordstrom.. ahhh REAL shopping!!

9. Tuesday- American Girl Store (north point mall)
well in case you didn't know... Atl has American Girl now!!! eeekkkkk!!!

My inner child is over the moon.
We will take Bitty, Addy, and Samantha with us and the two "older" dolls will get a fresh do at the "hair salon" while bitty, myself, and lil bit eat at the bistro!
10. Wednesday- free day!!
This will be the last day of the trip so we may swim and pack, go visit a friend for lunch, basically unwind before the long drive home.

This is probably going to be my most favorite day of all.

I remember spending a whole day in the lazy river and running through Katchakiddie Kreek as a little girl!

Casey can't wait to swim in the sharks reef!!!

Wednesday
we will conquer Animal Kingdom
not sure how much we will accomplish here but the main focus is to do the safari.

Lil bit LOVES animals so this is a must for us!!

Thursday

I am considering leaving this day as a free day; as of right now though the plan is to go and visit my sweet friend Rachel at Sea World!!

{She is in Orlando for the summer doing mission work and the organization arranges work for them during the day at the parks. pretty cool huh?}

Any suggestions while we are there??

Any of you travelled with a toddler, while pregnant to Disney?? Would love your ensite!!

Travel Thursday's First Ed. Disney World

I have been waiting for some time now to come up with a series I will be really excited to share.
.
Throughout my life I have been VERY fortunate to travel quite a few places.

I always see people talking about the trips (on blogs) they ARE going on and I think well.... we have a little one and just aren't traveling alot right now. But I have traveled, and I want to share with y'all some of the amazing places I have been able to see.

First thing is first.

My uncle lived in Orlando for the greater part of 20 years. He worked for the school system and as a perk often got tickets to Disney, so naturally we would visit and that would be our "outing." With that being said; I have been to disney 15 times in my life and this will be my 16th time to go this summer.

But, you see this summer is special, I get to see Disney through a child, my child's eyes.

For a awhile there Mickey and Minnie kinda lost their luster; but not this time. We are hoping to go full force!!
This is disney 2005, for a few years this is how we hit the parks... Mainly Wide World of Sports.

Our last trip to disney is one I went on with Casey's family in the fall before we got engaged. Fall 2007

We had a great time doing "big kid" stuff. So I have had to do a tad bit of research to figure out what the "best" rides for the little one's are.

I was severely disappointed to discover Magic Kingdom no longer has Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (my favorite ride from childhood) oh well.

Without further adieu here is our tentative itinerary for Disney 2011.

Sunday : arrive in Orlando around lunchtime, spend the afternoon by the pool then hit up
Downtown Disney for Dinner
via weheartit
 via google
Monday:Supercalifragillistic Breakfast at the wonderful Grand Floridian Resort.
 via disneyworld.com
The grand-jour of this hotel mystified me as a child and I can't wait to see the look on Lil' bit's face when we get here.
 via disneyworld.com
hopefully our first encounter with the character's is a pleasant one.
(keep your fingers crossed)

After breakfast we will head to Magic Kingdom and thanks to our customized map disney sent in the mail we will know right where we are going the whole time!!
You input your "must do" rides and you can choose to either print on your own or have them mail a map to you.
We received the fanciest envelope, and I think receiving this in the mail added to the magic of disney and further excited lil bit about our trip.

the envelope looks like this when it arrives in the mail.

After a busy morning of spinning tea cups we will head to the most magical lunch of all.
 Cinderella's Royal Table!!
Via disneyworld.com

And after lunch we will retire for an afternoon nap, after all our little princess isn't quite 3 and will surely need to rest.

Next Thursday I will map out Tuesday-Friday of our trip.

Disclaimer: for those of you who think I am crazy for posting when we will be out of town online please know I have put more thought into who will be at my house, how long they will be there, and the frequency of their coming and going than I have put time into planning this trip. If someone even thinks they are going to break into my house know... I have like 10-15 ppl coming and going by while we are out of town. So there... they will think we are having parties the whole time we are gone. haha.
